Privacy Policy
Lytdash helps job seekers manage applications, CVs, cover letters, and job search analytics. This policy explains the basic data we collect and how we use it.
What data we collect
- Email address for authentication and account access.
- Job application data such as company, role, status, location, job URL, notes, CV links, and cover letter links.
- CV files and cover letter content that you upload or create in the product.
How we use data
- To provide the Lytdash service, including your dashboard, Kanban pipeline, document management, and analytics.
- To improve the platform, fix issues, and understand which product areas need refinement.
Browser Extension / Save to Lytdash
When the extension is active
The Save to Lytdash Chrome extension processes the current tab when you open the extension popup or explicitly choose Scan again. It does not monitor your background browsing.
What data is collected
When you trigger an import, the extension can collect: job title, company name, location, employment type, remote type, job description, job URL, import date, and detected skills.
What data is NOT collected
The extension does NOT collect: browsing history, pages outside the job flow, passwords, cookies, banking data, private messages, or any data without your explicit action.
Extension token
- The token links the extension to your Lytdash account. It is stored locally in your browser and can be revoked or renewed at any time in Settings > Browser Extension.
- The token does not expose your Lytdash password. It is a separate, user-bound authentication key.
Purpose of data collection
The extension collects job data only to create a preparation record in your Lytdash account, support features you choose to use, and help you organize your job search. Importing does not submit an application to an employer.
Review before import
Job information is extracted from the active page and reviewed or edited locally in the extension. Opening the popup or scanning a page does not create a Lytdash record or send the complete job information to Lytdash.
Temporary extension draft
To avoid losing edits, the extension may keep form values temporarily in Chrome session storage for the same job URL. The draft is eligible for restoration for approximately 30 minutes. A successful import or Cancel removes the corresponding draft; closing only the popup may not remove it immediately.
Import and secure transmission
When you choose Import to Lytdash, the reviewed job information is sent to Lytdash over HTTPS and associated with your authenticated account as a preparation record.
Optional AI processing
Importing a job does not itself invoke Google Gemini. If you later start a Lytdash AI analysis or document feature, relevant job and CV content may be sent to Google Gemini to provide that requested feature. Your browser authentication token, cookies, and browser session are not part of that AI processing.
Your rights
- You can request access to the personal data connected to your account.
- You can update account details and product data inside Lytdash.
- You can request deletion of your account and associated data.
Security
- Authentication is required to access private product areas.
- Data is isolated per user using Supabase Row Level Security policies.
- Sensitive operations are scoped to the authenticated user.
Storage
Application data and documents are stored through Supabase and associated with your authenticated account. The extension token and verified connection details may remain in local Chrome storage until you disconnect, replace, or revoke the token.
Retention and your control
Imported preparation records remain associated with your Lytdash account until you edit or delete them, or request deletion of your account and associated data where applicable. You can review and edit job information before import, choose not to import, disconnect the extension, and request access to or deletion of account data.
Data sale and advertising
Lytdash does not sell personal data collected through the extension. Extension data is not used for advertising or ad targeting, and is not used for purposes unrelated to the extension's job-preparation workflow.
